Most Centuries in T20 World Cup

Scoring a century in any format of the game is considered one of the greatest achievements by a batter. It takes skills, strong character and composure throughout the innings to reach this milestone. Such long innings with big scores show the complete dominance of the batter against the opponent. 

Meanwhile, in T20 cricket, unlike the other two formats, a batter also has to keep an eye on his strike rate while piling up runs. Notching-up a century at a slower pace in the 20-over format will help the batter raise his average but will not benefit the team in any way.

With the abundance of T20 franchise leagues around the world, the batters have fully adapted to the aggressive style of cricket, ensuring that the bowlers have a hell of a time on the field. That being said, expect the batters to set the stage ablaze with big runs and attacking mindset in the 2024 T20 World Cup.  

To date, only 10 players have managed to hit a century in the T20 World Cup, with West Indies legend, Chris Gayle, who is the only player to have crossed the 100-run barrier twice. England, aided by Brendon McCullum, Jos Buttler and Alex Hales, are the team with the most centuries (3). Notably, only one Indian made it to this elite list – former all-rounder, Suresh Raina.
