A maximum of 120 points per series are at stake with each team playing six series &#8211; three at home and three away &#8211; in the period. But as things stand, it looks highly unlikely that all the teams will be able to play their six series before June 2021.

Before the main event, a total of eight teams will play a qualifying stage. Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Ireland, Namibia, Scotland and Oman, who made the cut for the tournament after finishing in the top six of the qualifiers, along with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, will contest in the qualifying stage of the T20 World Cup.
