Notably, the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders had a stellar season back in 2024 before the side suffered an 85-run loss against the Dubai Capitals in the playoffs. On the other hand, VIP had a horrendous season in 2024. They failed to make it to the playoffs after finishing at the fifth spot of the points table.
