Preview
Australia and Afghanistan meet again in a ICC tournament nearly a year after they played out a classic. The last time these two sides met was in Mumbai and Glenn Maxwell had pulled off a Houdini act to win his side the game with a terrific ODI double ton.
Australia (AUS) broke no sweat with the bat or ball as they downed Bangladesh in their first match of the Super-8 stages. Pat Cummins picked a hattrick while David Warner scored a half-century to power Aussies to an easy win.
Afghanistan (AFG) saw their batting collapse against a relentless Indian bowling unit. Rashid Khan was left shaking his head as none of his batters seemed capable of putting up a fight in pursuit of the 181-run score set by India. The only positive for the Afghans was the bowling which came good.
