Preview
Australia will take on England in the fourth match of the ICC Champions Trophy. This match will be played at Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore. Champions Trophy 2025 will be held from 19 February to 9 March 2025 and will be contested by the top eight ranked men's national teams. Group A includes Pakistan, India, and New Zealand. At the same time, Group B includes Australia, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa.
Each team has only 3 games and it is virtual knockout cricket so expect Champions Trophy 2025 to be a high-pressure and well-contested event. Australia and England have faced each other in 160 matches in ODI. Out of these 160 games, Australia have won 90 whereas England have come out victorious on 65 occasions with three of them being no results.
England are coming into this tournament on the back of losing the previous series 3-0 to India. Jos Buttler led by side will be keen to have a good tournament and will hope the pitches in Pakistan suit them. On the other hand, Australia will be led by Steve Smith and are missing the trio of pacers (Cummins, Starc and Hazlewood). Stoinis has also retired from this format so it will be a new look Aussie side. This promises to be an exciting match.
