Preview

Host Australia is all set to go one-on-one against each other in the second T20I of the three-match series, slated to take place on November 16 at historic Sydney Cricket Stadium, Sydney. Josh Inglis and his men have won the series opener and aim to win mark victory in the upcoming thriller to seal the T20I series after losing the recently concluded ODI series against the Men in Green. On the other hand, Mohammad Rizwan and Co. aim to bounce back in this game to level up the series 1-1.

The hosts, Australia, won the series opener at The Gabba, Brisbane by 29 runs, where the encounter was reduced to seven overs aside due to heavy rainfall. Aussie star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell's blistering 43 off 19 balls and strong bowling performances from Xavier Barlett, Nathan Ellis, and Adam Zampa guided the side to take a lead. After most of the day lost due to downpours in Brisbane,  the umpires reduced the match to seven overs per side.

After being sent to bat first in the game, the 2021 T20 World Cup champions posted 93/4 in the seven overs, owing to a magnificent batting display from all-rounders Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stonis. However, in reply, visitors were reduced to 16/5 in the third over. The Green Army was eventually restricted to 64/9 in the seven overs of the game.
