The Australia cricket team is all set to lock horns against Pakistan in the second ODI of the three-match series, slated to take place on November 8 at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. The home team is currently leading the series 1-0 after winning the series opener at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne. The 2023 ODI World Cup champions chased down 204 runs with two wickets in their hand as skipper Pat Cummins led the side from the front with a bat before they had batting collapsed in the MCG.
Meanwhile, the tourists will be hoping to give a better show in this game to level up the series by 1-1. The Men in Green were 117/6 at one stage and were able to cross the 200-run mark owing to star pacer Naseem Shah's cameo of 40 runs. Despite that, they were favorites to win the opening thriller after reducing the Aussies to 155/7, but they failed to dismiss skipper Pat Cummins, who snatched the victory from them.
The home team will be keen on winning the next game to seal the series in Adelaide itself with another blockbuster performance. Meanwhile, Pat Cummins and his men have to be careful when facing a well-oiled and poised bowling unit of the Green Army.
