Preview
Australia (AUS) will be hosting South Africa (SA) in the second Test match at Melbourne Cricket Ground starting on Boxing Day. Australia managed to win the opening Test match by six wickets on a pace-friendly surface at The Gabba's pitch. Bowlers dominated the entire match as the fixture finished in just two days. South Africa's first innings collapsed on 152 runs and Australia scored crucial 218 runs in their first innings. Australian captain Pat Cummins took five wickets in the second innings to bowl out the visitors on just 99 runs and then chased the 34-run wicket with six wickets remaining.
The star Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood will miss another game as he continues his recovery from a side strain. South African team is expected to make changes to their squad and is likely to play with four specialist pacers and one spinner for the Melbourne Test.
