Preview
Australia Women will take on England Women in the second T20I of the Women's Ashes. This match will be played at Manuka Oval in Canberra. Australia retained the Ashes at the first opportunity by getting after winning the opening T20I. Australia swept the three-match ODI series 3-0 and won the first T20I convincingly, giving them an 8-0 lead on points with two T20s and the Test match to play.
After setting a big target of 199, Australia bowled out England for 141 within 16 overs in a complete performance to romp to a 57-run victory over England. Beth Mooney's 51-ball 75 piled on 8-198 batting first at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Despite both Healy and Gardner not being available due to injuries it did not stop Australia from getting a big score. England bowlers were not up to the mark and it was a huge total which was always going to be a tough chase.
Sophia Dunkley powered her way to 59 off 30 but that was not enough as wickets kept falling from the other end. Georgia Wareham (3-25) and Alana King (2-14) helped bowl the tourists for a low score. England have already lost the Ashes but they will be keen to bounce back and put up a good performance. This should be an exciting match between these two sides.
