Preview

Australia Women will be up against West Indies Women in the 3rd ODI of the West Indies Women's tour of Australia at the Junction Oval in Melbourne on October 14. The series is being led by Australia 1-0, and they are already in a position wherein they cannot lose the series. West Indies would be looking forward to the match to make a comeback and draw the series.

The last match between these two teams, which was the second ODI of the series, could not be completed due to interruptions by rain. The first match of the series was played at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane, where Australia Women had won the toss and elected to field. West Indies had a horrible start to the innings, losing three wickets just at the score of five runs. None of their batters were looking to stay on the crease, playing rash shots and throwing their wickets away. Aaliyah Alleyne in the lower middle order provided some stability with his sensible knock of 35 runs but still could not save her team from being bowled out for a petty total of 83 runs. Australia, on the other hand, started their innings fantastically, amassing 57 runs for the opening stand. The match was just a formality from there on, and it was done away by the pair of Ellyse Perry and Beth Mooney, who remained unbeaten and won their team the match by eight wickets in less than 15 overs.
