Preview
Bangladesh will take on New Zealand in the sixth match of the Champions Trophy 2025. This match will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Champions Trophy 2025 will be held from 19 February to 9 March 2025 and will be contested by the top eight ranked men's national teams. Group A includes Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and New Zealand. At the same time, Group B includes Australia, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa.
Each team has only 3 games and it is virtual knockout cricket so expect Champions Trophy 2025 to be a high-pressure and well-contested event. New Zealand and Bangladesh have faced each other in 45 matches in ODI. Out of these 45 games, New Zealand have won 33 whereas Bangladesh have come out victorious on 11 occasions.
New Zealand won the opening match against defending champions Pakistan by 60 runs. On the other hand, Bangladesh suffered a defeat in the opening match against India by six wickets. Having opted to bat first, Bangladesh were reduced to 35/5 at one stage but an outstanding partenership by Hridoy and Jaker Ali helped them score 228. They fought well with the ball but ended up on the losing side. They will be keen to bounce back and this promises to be an exciting match.
