Royal Challengers Bangalore Women (BAN-W) and UP Warriorz (UP-W) will play the second match of the Women’s Premier League 2024 on Saturday (February 24) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

RCB won two out of eight matches last season and finished in fourth position. The Warriorz were in the third place with four wins and losses each in eight matches. Both teams won one out of the two matches that they played last season. The Warriorz played the eliminator game against Mumbai Indians Women and lost the match by 72 runs.

Smriti Mandhana will lead RCB again this season. RCB retained a total of 11 players from last season and picked seven players in the auction. They released the likes of Dané Van Niekerk and Megan Schutt. In the mini-auction, Ekta Bisht was the most expensive player for the team and was picked for INR 60 lakh. Georgia Wareham, Kate Cross, and Sophie Molineux are the three overseas players that RCB signed in the mini-auction.

The Warriorz retained a total of 13 players from last season and picked five players in the mini-auction. Vrinda Dinesh was the most expensive buy for the Warriorz and was bought for INR 1.3 crore. Dani Wyatt was the only overseas buy for the Warriorz in the mini-auction.
