Preview

Bangladesh U-19 will lock horns with South Africa U-19 in the 3rd Youth ODI match of the South Africa Under-19 tour of Bangladesh at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on July 11. The series has been leveled at 1-1, with both teams winning a match each. South Africa were the winner of the first Youth ODI Match, where Bangladesh managed to win the second one.

The last encounter between the two teams was played at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on July 9, where Bangladesh had won the toss and had elected to bat. Bangladesh had started well, with both their openers looking in good touch. Neither of them could score a half-century but provided a good base, further on which was built by the middle order. Mohammad James played a brilliant knock of 69 runs down the order, which helped Bangladesh put up a strong total of 268 runs at the loss of seven wickets on the board.

Unlike their counterparts, South Africa were unsuccessful in getting a good start; however, their skipper, who came to bat at three, played some brilliant shots and was unlucky to get run out at the score of 75. Other batters in the team got starts as well, but none of them successfully converted those starts. As a result, South Africa could not even play their entire innings and were bundled out at the score of 254 runs. Bangladesh won the match by 14 runs and leveled the series.
