India Women (IN-W) and Bangladesh Women (BD-W) are set to meet in the third T20I of India Women’s tour of Bangladesh 2024. Leading the five-match series 2-0, the visitors will aim to clinch the title when they enter the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet on Thursday, May 2.
Team India’s bowlers have been in tremendous form as they managed to restrict the home side to low scores in both the matches. The tour kicked off with a 44-run win as Bangladesh failed to chase down a target of 146. In the second T20I, Bangladesh, who opted to bat first, were bundled out for just 119 runs. Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil and Deepti Sharma were the pick of the bowlers.
The target was cut short via DLS method and a brilliant knock from Dayalan Hemalatha helped India cross the finish line in just 5.2 overs. Hemalatha’s 41 off 24 balls, which included 5 fours and 2 sixes, led India to a 19-run win. Bangladesh have struggled in the first two matches and Harmanpreet Kaur's India are clearly favoured to win the upcoming match.
