Bangladesh Women will be up against Pakistan Women in the first ODI match of the Pakistan Women's tour of Bangladesh at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on November 4. Both these teams have not been in too great of a form recently in this format, as they have won just one match from their last five games.
Bangladesh Women had played against India Women in their last game, where Bangladesh Women won the toss and elected to bat. Bangladesh were simply amazing on the field as they put up brilliant back-to-back partnerships. On a slow-turning track, the openers brought up their century and half-century each as they posted a good total of 225 runs. India did not start as well as their opponents but kept the scoreboard ticking. Half-centuries from Smriti and Harleen put India in a good position, but the Bangladeshi bowlers did a brilliant job towards the end. India lost their last wicket on 225, so an interesting match ended in a tie.
Pakistan Women squared off against South Africa Women in their last match, where South Africa Women won the toss and elected to bat. The decision to bat was questioned when they lost their first wicket in the very first over. Their middle order took some responsibility as they kept having some good partnerships. However, none of their batters could capitalise after getting starts, so the team was bundled together for just 185. Pakistan was much better in their batting approach. Two of their top-order batters notched up their individual fifties. They won the match comfortably by eight wickets with 12 overs to spare.
