The summit clash of the T20 Spring Challenge 2024 is set to take place between the Brisbane Heat Women (BH-W) and Hobart Hurricanes Women (HB-W). The contest to become the inaugural champions of the tournament will be played at the Cricket Central in Sydney Olympic Park.
BH-W under star all-rounder Jess Jonassen, are coming off an easy 38-run win against Adelaide Strikers (AS-W) in the tournament’s first semi-final. Brisbane Heat Women posted a total of 160 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, which they defended easily by restricting AS-W to 122 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the entire 20 overs.
On the contrary, Elyse Willani-led Hobart Hurricanes Women (HB-W) got a bit of luck as their semi-final clash against Melbourne Stars Women (MS-W) was called off due to rain. Later, the HB-W advanced to the final based on their second position at the end of the tournament’s league stage.
