Chandigarh Champs will be up against Patna Warriors in the 12th match of the Legends Cricket Trophy at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Ghaziabad on March 27. Chandigarh Champs have won three out of four games so far and are placed at the top of the points table. Patna Warriors have won just a single game out of three and placed in the fifth position in the standings.
Chandigarh Champs were up against Nagpur Ninjas in their last game, where Chandigarh Champs won the toss and elected to field. Ninjas started the proceedings brilliantly as they had an opening partnership of 96 runs, mainly dominated by Richard Levi, who scored a fantastic fifty. Once they were gone, the team struggled to get boundaries and kept losing wickets. As a result, they could only score 158 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Champs lost a wicket early on in the chase, but the second wicket partnership between Dilshan and Tomar left no space for Ninjas to make a comeback. Chandigarh Champs won the match by eight wickets with nine balls to spare.
Patna Warriors were up against Indore Knights in their last match, where Indore Knights won the toss, and they elected to field. Patna got a rocking start as they scored 76 runs in 8.3 overs without losing a wicket, but once they lost their openers, it was a house of cards. They could only manage to post a total of 121 runs for the loss of seven wickets. The Knights had a nightmare of a start to their chase as three of their top four batters were back to the hut without barely making a difference in the scoreboard. A solid fourth-wicket partnership brought them back into the game. Ultimately, the Knights won the match by two wickets with six balls to spare.
