Preview
Cricketer CC will lock horns with SNASY in the 1st match of the ECS Austria 2023 at the Seebarn Cricket Ground in Lower Austria on May 8. Cricketer CC and SNASY will cross off against each for the first time in this tournament. Both teams are being introduced to this tournament for the first time and would like to win the match and start strong in the tournament. SNASY are a newly formed team. This is going to be a good encounter between the two teams.
Cricketer CC squared off against Salzburg CC in their last encounter in the preliminary final 3 of the ECS Austria, 2021. Salzburg CC won the toss and elected to bowl. Cricketer CC did not start well, as they lost their opener on a duck, but a good second-wicket partnership kept them on track for a while. But once the partnership broke, wickets went down like a set of dominos. Apart from the two, none of the batters could make double-digit scores, and there were six ducks in one inning alone. They could manage to put up a meagre total of 56 runs for the loss of nine wickets, with one of their players getting retired hurt. After dominating with the ball, Salzburg came down to dominate with the bat as well. They lost just one wicket and were in a hurry to finish the match. They didn’t even require half the overs to chase down the target. They won the match very comfortably by nine wickets, and it was an all-round dominating performance by Salzburg CC.
