Being put to bat, the Kings did not start well and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. After losing one wicket early, the Firebirds had a brilliant partnership for the second wicket and were right on track, but as soon as it broke, the hell went loose on them as they were bowled out for just 157, losing the game by 63 runs.
