Preview
Royal Challengers Bengaluru women (RCB W) will be up against Delhi Capitals women (DC W) in the final of the WPL 2024. As RCB women knocked defending champions MI women out of the tournament, they will be facing DC women in the final. While it is the first appearance of RCB women in the final, DC women have been there. Both teams would be looking to win their maiden title.
In the final of the previous edition, DC women came close to winning the title but lost it. Meg Lanning and Co would be aiming to change the results this time around. RCB Women would be hoping to make the most of the opportunities they have got till now. Not many expected them to make it to the final. However, RCB women surprised everyone by beating MI women in the semi-final despite being in a dangerous position.
Both teams have some of the best players in the world. DC women have the likes of Shafali Verma, Meg Lanning, Jemimah Rodrigues, Jess Jonassen, Marizanne Kapp, and Alice Capsey. RCB women have the likes of Ellyse Perry, Sophie Molineux, Georgia Wareham, Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, and Renuka Singh Thakur. There are young players on both sides who would be looking forward to making a mark in the big match.
