Preview

Emirates Red will lock horns with Dubai in the 37th match of the Emirates D10 at the Malek Cricket Stadium 1 in Abu Dhabi on December 28. Emirates Red have played 11 matches so far, where they have won just two games so far being placed at the sixth place. Dubai, on the other hand, have not been too far as well winning just three of their nine matches and are placed in the fifth position.

Emirates Red played against Sharjah in their last match where Sharjah won the toss and elected to bowl. Emirates had a slow and sloppy start where they could only score seven runs in the two overs. However, with the introduction of Ashwant Valthapa, their innings changed the course and got on a better track. They finished with a total of 94 runs on the board. When Sharjah came out to bat, it seemed as if they were batting on a different track as they kept smashing all the bowlers around. They were easily able to win the game by eight wickets with around 20 balls to spare.

Dubai squared off against Emirates Blues in their last encounter, where Emirates Blues won the toss and elected to bowl. Losing a wicket on the very first ball, Dubai did not start well, but a decent partnership for the second wicket and then a sensational partnership for the third one, and they were racing ahead in the game. They posted a strong total of 127 runs on the board. Emirates made an explosive start but lost two wickets early. They kept their scoring rate high throughout their innings and it seemed it would be an easy win for them, however, Dubai bowlers did a terrific job to pull things back as they won the game by a fine margin of just one run.
