Preview
Estonia will lock horns with Denmark in the 34th match of the European Cricket Championship at the Cartama Oval in Cartama on October 3. Being placed in Group C, Estonia and Denmark have played a match each so far where Denmark won while Estonia had to face defeat. Denmark is placed second in the rankings, while Estonia is placed fourth.
Estonia had played off against Italy in their last match, where Estonia won the toss and elected to bowl. Italy went all guns blazing right from the start as they slammed 74 runs in just four overs. They did not stop or reduce their speed after the loss of the first wicket and kept going and raked up a monstrous total of 174 runs on the board. Estonia, on the other hand, struggled right from the start, as only two of their batters could score in double digits. By the end of the innings, they lost nine wickets and could only score 92 runs, losing the match by a huge margin of 82 runs.
Denmark had played off against Italy in their last encounter, where Denmark won the toss and elected to bowl. Italy started decently well, and several of their batters got starts, but unfortunately, none of them could continue for long. They put up a total of 100 runs at the loss of eight wickets on the board. Denmark made this total look like a petty total the way they started the chase. Abdul Hashmi led the attack with his half-century and remained unbeaten as the team won the match by nine wickets.
