Preview
Everest will lock horns with Nicosia Tigers CC in the 7th match of the ECS Cyprus T10 2023 at the Ypsonas Cricket Ground in Limassol on April 11. Everest have played two matches in this tournament and are yet to win any. They are present at the fifth position in the rankings of Group A. Nicosia Tigers, on the other hand, have won the lone match they have played so far. They are placed at the second position in the standings of Group A.
Everest squared off against Napa Royal Kings in their last encounter where the toss was won by Everest and they elected to bowl. Royal Kings continued where they had left in the last game and were scoring at a monstrous pace from the word get go. Sehran Ahmed was taking the match single handedly away from Everest but a tragic run-out meant a slight comeback. Kings then lost several wickets on a trot. A fine finish at the end meant they posted a huge total of 138 runs on the board. It seemed as if Everest were batting on a different track altogether as they got slower and slower with time. They could only score 63 runs and Napa Royal Kings won the match by 75 runs.
Nicosia Tigers CC went on against Everest in their last encounter where Everest won the toss and elected to bat. Everest did not start well after winning the toss as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. That was coupled with a very slow scoring rate but owing to quite undisciplined bowling from Tigers which added too many extras, Everest were able to post a total of 96 runs at the loss of nine wickets. Tigers then returned with the bat and a clinical show of batting was on display as they did not waste much time or wickets and chased down the total with seven balls to spare. Tigers won the match easily by nine wickets.
