Gujarat had played off against Railways in their last encounter, where Gujarat won the toss and elected to field. Railways did not start well and just got worse. They were reduced to just 29 runs for the loss of six wickets. With some late contributions from the lower middle order, they managed to reach 149 runs. Gujarat had no such issues in chasing the total down as they started well and kept scoring at a rapid pace. With contributions from the entire top order, they easily won the match by eight wickets with five overs to spare.

Manipur had played off against Arunachal Pradesh in their last encounter, where Arunachal Pradesh won the toss and elected to bat. They started on a good note, amassing 51 runs for the opening stand. They had another good partnership for the second wicket as well, but they lost track after. They could only make 131 by the end of the innings, in reply to which Manipur started brilliantly. They kept finding regular boundaries, and with a half-century from Basir Rahman, Manipur won the match emphatically by eight wickets.
