Hungary will take on Austria in the third match of Group B of the European Cricket Championship 2024 on Sunday, October 6, at the Cartama Oval in Cartama. Both Hungary and Austria failed to make it to the Championship Week in the last edition of the European Cricket Championship.

Hungary were a part of Group D along with Ireland XI, Austria, Finland, and Turkey. They finished in second place with three wins in four games. Austria won and lost two matches each and were in third place in the Group.

Hungary faced Ireland XI in the final of Group D. Hungary scored 137 runs for the loss of three wickets while batting first. Ireland XI chased down the target of 138 runs in 8.4 overs with eight wickets in hand.

Austria took on Finland in the eliminator game of Group D and scored 100 runs for the loss of six wickets. Finland won the match by nine wickets in 6.2 overs.
