Preview

Hungary will lock horns with Finland in the third match of the European Cricket Championship at the Cartama Oval in Cartama on October 5. Being placed in Group D, Hungary and Finland are yet to play any game in the tournament and would be looking forward to making a good start in the tournament.

Hungary had played off against Sweden in their last match, where Sweden won the toss and elected to bat. They were off to an aggressive start, which just kept on going intense as the innings progressed. With some of the most sensational hits in T10 cricket, Saeed and Samiullah smoked every bowler apart as they put up an unbelievable total of 199 runs. Giving Hungary their deserving credits, they started the chase with the intent of achieving, and at one point in time, it did look like it, but they could not keep scoring at the same rate and lost the match by 53 runs.

Finland had played off against Austria in their last encounter, where Austria won the toss and elected to bat. Choosing to bat, they lost their first wicket in the first over itself but managed to have a good comeback in the second wicket. With the help of a good finish touch, they put up a total of 134 runs on the board. Finland had a shaky start, losing two wickets rather early in the chase, but had two back-to-back sensational partnerships to not just make a comeback but win the match by five wickets.
