Preview
Indian Kings will be up against Asian All-Stars in the 21st match of the Asia T10 Challenge at the UKM-YSD Cricket Oval in Bangi on April 1. Indian Kings have won three out of eight games so far and are placed in the fourth position in the points table. Asian All-Stars, on the other hand, have played eight matches where they have won and lost four games each. They are ranked second in the points table.
Indian Kings were up against Malaysian Hawks in their last game, where Indian Kings won the toss and elected to bowl. The Hawks started brilliantly, with both their openers scoring well at a good strike rate. The middle order could not contribute much and carry forward the momentum from the openers. They managed to reach a total of 94 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Kings also had an impactful start where Samraj was hitting the ball fabulously. Once he fell, doors started tumbling one after the other, and the scoring rate fell. By the end of the second innings, Kings could only score 70 runs, and hence Hawks won the match by 24 runs.
Asian All-Stars were up against Bangladesh Tiger in their last match, where Bangladesh Tiger won the toss, and they elected to field. Syed Aziz seemed to be in the form of his life as he bolstered 89 runs off just 35 balls, having put to bat first. Other batters contributed fairly as well, and with a healthy strike rate. Stars lost just two wickets and put up a monstrous target of 159 runs. Bangladesh Tiger were already under the pressure of such a huge total and could not maintain the required run rate. They kept losing wickets and, as a result, could only score 66 runs while losing eight wickets. Stars won the match by a huge margin of 92 runs.
