Indore Knights will lock horns with Chandigarh Champs in the 3rd match of the Legends Cricket Trophy at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Ghaziabad on March 23. Indore Knights won their first game comfortably and are placed at the top of the table. Chandigarh Champs also won their opening game and are placed second in the points table.
The Knights played against Nagpur Ninjas in their last match, where the Ninjas won the toss, and they elected to field. The Knights started well, and their openers set the tone for the middle order. Suresh Raina, in particular, had a brilliant day on the field and was adjudged Player of the Match. His knock helped the Knights post a huge total of 209 for the loss of six wickets. Ninjas also had a decent start to their chase and had some excellent cameos by different batters. Kuldeep Hooda played a fantastic innings but could not take his team home as the Knights won the match by 11 runs.
In their last encounter, Champs squared off against Guwahati Avengers, where they won the toss and elected to field. The Avengers started in a fantastic manner after being put to bat first. They had an opening partnership of 111 runs, but the middle order could not make the most of the opening partnership. They posted a good total of 180 runs at the expense of five wickets. Avengers were, however, blown away by a single performance from Bhanu Seth, as he hit a brilliant century. Champs chased down the target with more than seven overs to go and won the match easily by seven wickets.
