Preview
The ACC Men's Emerging Cup 2023 final between the two fierce rivals is slated to take place at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on July 23. India A have a perfect record in this competition, with four straight wins. Pakistan A won three in four games, and one notable loss came against India A.
India A have been successful so far due to the disciplined bowling attack, which has held their nerve at this highest level. The two orthodox spinners have collected a humongous 17 wickets for India and will look to replicate similar performances in the finals. On a turning track, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, the right-arm quick, dismantled the Pakistan batting line-up in the previous clash to sweep the fifer. Except in the semifinals against Bangladesh A, India A never lost more than two wickets in this tournament, which reflects their formidable top order.
Pakistan's batters showed off their skill by scoring totals of over 300 a few times during this tournament, but they also lost all of their wickets in the last three games, which is a huge concern heading into this final. Like the Indian bowlers, they amassed numerous all-outs during this competition. Pakistan bowlers will look to exploit the untested Indian middle order, which got exposed in the semifinal. As a result, this clash would be more thrilling because it is a fight between two strong sides, each having their own advantages.
