Preview
India will take on Australia in the 1st Semi Final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This match will be played at Dubai International Stadium. Champions Trophy 2025 will be held from 19 February to 9 March 2025 and will be contested by the top eight ranked men's national teams. Group A includes Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and New Zealand. At the same time, Group B includes Australia, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa.
India finished top of the Group A with three wins in three matches. On the other hand, Australia came second in Group B with one win in three matches. India and Australia have faced each other in 151 matches in ODI. Out of these 151 games, India won 57, whereas Australia won 84 games. 10 matches ended without a result.
India have been dominant throughout the tournament and have played all their matches in Dubai where condiitions have helped their spinners a lot. They beat New Zealand by 44 runs in the final group stage match. On the other hand, Australia have played all their matches in Pakistan so far and they will have to adjust quickly to these conditions. The last time these two sides met in an ODI was in the Final of the CWC 2023 where Australia came out on top. Matthew Short has been ruled out and Cooper Conolly has replaced him in the Australian side. This promises to be an exciting match betweeen these two sides and the winner will play in the Final on 9th March.
