Preview
India and Australia will be facing each other in the last game of the three-match T20I series on Sunday (September 25) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. This will be only the second T20I game at this venue and the first since 2019. India and Australia were scheduled to play a T20I game here back in 2017 as well, however, the match was washed out due to rain. Much like this series, that was also the last game of the three-match series in which both India and Australia had won one game each.
Australia, the current world champions of this format had a great start to the series as they defeated India in the first game of the series. They chased down the target of 209 runs with 4 wickets in hand. The second match was cut short to only eight overs due to rain and India managed to level up the series after winning by 6 wickets. The Indian team have a lot of question to answer in this question and it will be interesting to see if they manage to find the right balance. On the other hand, Australia did lose the last game, however, they are in a far better position than India in terms of playing 11 and the form of the players.
