India and Australia will play the 4th T20I of the five-match series on Friday (December 1) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. India won the first two matches of the series.
In the third T20I, Australia won the toss and elected to bowl. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored his maiden T20I century and remained unbeaten on 123 runs off 57 deliveries. Suryakumar Yadav made 39 runs off 29 deliveries, and Tilak Varma scored 31 runs off 24 deliveries. India posted a total of 222 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs. Kane Richardson, Jason Behrendorff, and Aaron Hardie took one wicket each for Australia.
Australia lost their first three wickets for 68 runs. Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell joined hands and added 60 runs for the fourth wicket. Maxwell remained unbeaten on 104 runs off 48 deliveries. He hit a boundary on the last delivery and helped Australia win the match by five wickets. It was Australia’s second-highest chase in T20Is. Maxwell won the Player of the Match award.
