Preview
India (IND) are set to host South Africa (SA) in the second ODI match at ISCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on Sunday. South Africa won the first match by nine runs to take a crucial 0-1 lead in the three-match series. Rain delayed the first match and reduced to a 40-over game in Lucknow. South Africa managed to score a big total of 249/4 in 40 overs with the help of unbeaten fifties from David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen. For India, Shardul Thakur took two wickets and Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav grabbed one apiece.
Shreyas Iyer scored 50 runs off 37 balls and Sanju Samson smashed unbeaten 86 runs off 63 balls but South African bowlers managed to restrict the hosts to just 240/8. Lungi Ngidi took three and star pacer Kagiso Rabada get two wickets for South Africa. South Africa have won four of their last five ODI matches against India and are favorites to win again on Sunday.
