India and South Africa will play the third T20I of the ongoing series on Tuesday (October 4) at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. India earned an unassailable lead after winning the second T20I. They posted a huge total of 237 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs. KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav scored half-centuries and were well supported by Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The Proteas bowlers had an off day as none of the pacers managed to take a wicket and bowled at an economy of over 12 runs per over.
South Africa lost two wickets in the second over and it looked like they might succumb under pressure. By the end of the seventh over, South Africa had lost three wickets and had posted 49 runs on the board. The rest of the work for South Africa was done by Quinton de Kock and David Miller. The duo had an unbeaten partnership of 174 runs for the fourth wicket. In the end, South Africa lost the game by 16 runs.
