Preview
The biggest showdown for the Indian women's side is almost here as they gear up to face a high-flying strong Australian team in the 18th game of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024. With three out of the three wins, the defending champions have one foot in the knockout stages. However, it is a must-win game for the Women in Blue if the side aims to make it to the semifinal spot of the tournament.
Harmanpreet Kaur and her women have slowly but steadily found their feet in the marquee event. While the Indian side started on a worrying note after suffering defeat against New Zealand women in their opening game, the Women in Blue have won consecutively against arch-rivals Pakistan and 2024 Asia Cup champions Sri Lanka.
Coming to the team dynamics, Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana got to get their best in the recent game. On the other hand, Australia has unsurprisingly been ruthless. Opening batter Beth Mooney and star bowler Megan Schutt have played as per their potential and are set to pose a big threat to the Indian team.
