India Women (IN-W) will lock horns against Bangladesh Women (BD-W) in the 15th match of the Women's Asia Cup 2022 tournament at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet on Saturday. India suffered a shock 13-run defeat against rivals Pakistan in their last match on Friday. The in-form spinner Deepti Sharma took three wickets to restrict Pakistan on just 137/6 in 20 overs while bowling first. But Indian batters struggled for the runs and were bowled out on 124/10 in 19.4 overs. Despite the defeat, India top the table with six points in four matches and are likely to finish in the top-two positions.
Bangladesh Women, current champions, registered a big 88-run win against Malaysia in the last match. They scored only 129 runs while batting first with opener Murshida Khatun and Nigar Sultana scoring fifties. Then bowlers did a brilliant job to bowl out Malaysia on just 41/10 in 18.5 overs. Bangladesh are placed in the third position with four points in two matches so far.
