Preview
The Australia Women's Tour of Ireland 2023's third and final ODI is slated to take place at Castle Avenue in Dublin on July 28. The first game was called off. Australia earned a decisive victory in the second game by scoring a huge total on the board. Australia will therefore try to win this series by humiliating the host once more.
Ellyse Perry contributed to Australia's commanding 153-run victory against Ireland in the last game. After Australia were reduced to 58 for 3 in the 11th over, Perry combined with Beth Mooney, who struck 49 runs off 62 balls and added 106 runs for the fourth wicket. Perry smashed nine fours and three sixes in her innings. Annabel Sutherland and Ashleigh Gardner added 60 runs and helped Australia reach a massive total of 321 for the cost of only seven wickets.
Unfortunately, despite a strong start, Ireland's top order lacks the backing to play a middle-order rescue knock. More crucially, in order to stop the run flow, their bowlers must maintain their line and length. During the chase, Ireland reached a point where they were 127 for two, thanks to some early runs from Gaby Lewis (37) and Amy Hunter (50). Australian bowlers captured the last seven wickets for 41 runs. Ireland will hope to come out of their skin to deliver a miracle to draw this series.
