Preview
Japan will take on Vanuatu in the third match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup East Asia Pacific Qualifier. This match will be played at Amini Park in Moresby. Four teams will play 12 matches at Port Moresby over eight days with one spot open for them at the biggest ICC Men’s T20 World Cup ever, in the West Indies and the United States of America (USA) in June 2024.
Japan beat Phillippines by 53 runs in the previous match while defending a target of 166. They put up a clinical performance in the previous match with both bat and ball. On the other hand, Vanuatu suffered a 9 wicket defeat against Papua New Guinea as they could post only 71 while batting first and in reply the opposition chased it down within 7 overs. This promises to be an exciting match between these two teams.
