Quetta Gladiators will lock horns with Karachi Kings in the 22nd match of the Pakistan Super League 2024 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on March 6. Quetta Gladiators have won four of their six games so far and are ranked second in the table while Karachi Kings have won just two so far and are ranked fifth so far.
Quetta Gladiators had played against Islamabad United in their last encounter which was held at the same venue but the match had to be called off due to persistent rain. The match was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
Karachi Kings had played against Multan Sultans in their last encounter where Multan Sultans won the toss and elected to bat. Sultans did not start well yet again, losing their first wicket at the score of 16 but were brought well back into the game by a fantastic second-wicket partnership. Mohammad Rizwan and Usman Khan joined hands to put up a partnership worth 148 runs in the next 15.3 overs. Rizwan scored yet another half-century in the league and perished while Usman Khan kept going until the end without getting out as he reached out to his ton. These knocks helped Multan post a huge total of 189. Karachi did try and keep pace with the chase but they kept losing wickets one after the other. None of the batters put their name up and took the responsibility as a result of which they fell short of the target by 20 runs.
