Bengal played their previous game against Mumbai, where Mumbai scored 412 in their first innings. Suryansh Shegde 71(76) and skipper Shivam Dube 72(73) were the top contributors. Bengal were bundled out for 199 in their first innings as Anustup Majumdar scored 108(127). Follow-on was imposed and Bengal scored 209 in the second innings and lost the game by an innings and four runs.
