Preview
Khuwair Warriors will lock horns with Amerat Royals in the 26th match of the Oman D10 League at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Al Amarat on February 5. Khuwair Warriors have had a tough time this season losing all their six games and languishing at the bottom of the table. Amerat Royals, on the other hand, have won five of their six games and are sitting comfortably at the top of the table.
Khuwair Warriors squared off against Bousher Busters in their last encounter, where Khuwair Warriors won the toss and elected to bowl. What came ahead was just complete carnage by the openers of Bousher, especially Aaqib Sulehri as he smashed an unbeaten century. The opening stand lasted for 149 runs, which aided them post a mammoth target of 171. Warriors needed to start extremely well if they wanted to get close to this total, which they could not. Only Muzahir Raza looked comfortable on the pitch, so they could only score 111 runs, losing the game by 59 runs.
Amerat Royals played against Qurum Thunders in their last match, where Qurum Thunders won the toss and elected to bowl. The Royals went in all guns blazing right from the start after being put to bat. They did lose a couple of wickets in the middle, which slowed the rate down a little but then a sensational finish by the lower middle order meant they posted a huge total of 135 runs. Thunders, in return, did start aggressively as well but kept losing wickets right from the start. None of their batters looked comfortable and eventually lost the game by 67 runs.
