Preview
Quetta Gladiators will lock horns with Lahore Qalandars in the 28th match of the Pakistan Super League 2024 at the National Stadium in Karachi on March 10. Quetta Gladiators have been successful in just four of their eight games while being present at the fourth place. Lahore Qalandars, on the other hand, have played eight matches so far but are languishing at the bottom of the table with just one win.
Quetta Gladiators had played against Peshawar Zalmi in their last encounter where Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to bowl. Being put to bat, Peshawar simply blew Quetta out of the game the way they started. Several players did well, with Babar yet again leading from the front as they posted a massive total of 196 on the board. Quetta started well with the bat, but once the opening stand broke, they just kept losing one after the other. Every bowler picked up a wicket at least as they were bowled out for 120 losing by 76 runs.
Lahore Qalandars had played against Islamabad United in their previous where Islamabad United won the toss and chose to bowl. Lahore did not start well yet again as they lost wickets upfront. The run rate was kept low due to the same reason as well. However, a fantastic knock by Rassie and good finishing by Wiese meant they ended up with a total of 162. Islamabad was abysmal with their batting performance, as they had lost six for just 38. If it was not for the lower order to save them the face and lose by just 17 runs, they would have faced a huge defeat here.
