Luxembourg vs Romania, 8th Match - Live Cricket Score

Romania will lock horns with Luxembourg in the 8th match of the Valletta Cup at the Marsa Sports Club in Marsa on July 15. Romania have played three matches so far where they are yet to win any and are languishing at the bottom of the table. On the other hand, Luxembourg have played one match so far, which they could not win and are fourth in the standings.

Romania had squared off against Malta in their last match, where Malta had won the toss and elected to bat. Malta did not start well, losing three wickets within the powerplay. Zeeshan Khan stood his ground at one end and played a fantastic knock of 98 runs. He was aided by some middle-order batters, due to which they managed to score a healthy total of 187 runs. Romania started rather well, with their top order scoring some decent runs. But they started losing wickets in a heap, which slowed their run rate, and they could only manage to muster 145 runs, thus, losing the match by 42 runs.

Luxembourg had played against Switzerland in their last encounter, where Switzerland won the toss and elected to bowl. Luxembourg lost their first wicket on duck and were too cautious after that. Shiv Gill did play a good knock but was not provided with any help from the other end. They could only manage to score 118 runs for the loss of eight wickets which was a below-par total. Switzerland had no problems chasing down such a total. The second-wicket partnership of 83 runs proved to be the match-winning. Switzerland won the match easily by eight wickets with more than four overs to spare.
