Preview
Namibia will be up against Zimbabwe in the 1st T20I of the Zimbabwe tour of Namibia at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek on October 24. Namibia are coming off with a good track record in the last five games, where they won three, while Zimbabwe have been decent with two wins in the same duration.
Namibia had played off against the United Arab Emirates in their last encounter, where UAE won the toss and elected to bat. They started rather slowly, adding just 39 runs in eight overs. However, they started picking up pace and scored briskly. Muhammad Waseem and Chundangapoyil Rizwan led the attack, due to which they finished with 148 runs. Namibia did not start the chase well; neither could they score runs nor keep their wickets. By the end of the innings, they could only score 141 and lost the match by seven runs.
Zimbabwe had squared off against Ireland in their last match, where Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to field. Ireland did not start as expected, losing three wickets just for the score of 19 in four overs. However, their middle order then came into play and steadied the ship, taking them to a good total of 141 runs. Zimbabwe did not start well, but they did not lose track easily and kept scoring regularly. Ryan Burl played an explosive knock down the order, due to which they won the match by four wickets.
