Preview
Namibia will be up against Zimbabwe in the 3rd T20I of the Zimbabwe tour of Namibia at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek on October 27. The series is poised very well between both the teams as they have each won a match so far, and the series stands tied as of now. Both of these teams would be looking forward to winning the game and having a better chance at winning the series.
Both these teams squared off against each other in the last match, which was the second T20I match of this series at the same venue where Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to field. The decision did not seem to be going as a good move, as Namibia had a dreamy run for the start. The openers looked in great touch as they both notched up their individual fifties and had a centurion stand for the first wicket. Even after the fall of the wicket, things did not change, and they kept scoring at a rapid pace. They posted a huge target of 199 runs on the board.
In reply, Zimbabwe did not back away from such a total but did not particularly start in a manner that would look convincing. The opening stand lasted for just 32 runs in five overs and then could add just another 24 runs for the second wicket as well. However, with the arrival of Sikander Raza, the scoring rate for Zimbabwe started to rise significantly. They did lose a couple of wickets more, but the scoring rate did not come down. In a nail-biter of a finish, Zimbabwe won the match on the last ball of the game by five wickets owing to a sensational knock by Sikander Raza.
