Nepal A will lock horns with Canada in the 2nd match of the Nepal A vs Canada Series at the Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu on February 20. The three-match series is led by Canada who have won the first game of the series.
Both these teams squared off against each other in the last game which was played at the same venue where Canada won the toss and elected to bowl. Nepal started off well with an opening stand of 43 runs in eight overs. Then they lost a series of wickets in quick succession which pushed them back in the game. A good partnership for the fifth wicket brought them back in the game and it was the knock of 50 runs off 55 balls by Bashir which helped them post 216 runs on the board.
Canada did not start the chase well as they lost three of their top batters within no time and looked in trouble. Similar to their opponents, it was the fifth wicket partnership that turned the game on its head. Navneet Dhaliwal and Nikhil Dutta joined hands to put together a 75-run stand where both of them reached their fifties respectively. Canada won the game eventually by four wickets with just three balls to spare.
