Nepal will lock horns with United Arab Emirates in the 7th place playoff match of the ODI WC Qualifiers 2023 at the Takashing Sports Club in Harare on July 02. Nepal having won just one match out of their four matches, lie on the fourth position on the points table of Group A. With not having won any matches so far, UAE are on the fifth position on the points table of Group B. Nepal seems to have a better chance of winning this match and qualifying for the next round.
Neal had squared off against Netherlands in their last match where Netherlands won the toss and elected to field. United Arab Emirates had played against Ireland in their last encounter where UAE won the toss and went in to field. The third wicket partnership between P Sterling and the Ireland skipper A Balbirnie was of massive 184 runs. The team lost just four wickets, but made a massive score of 349 runs. UAE started their chase decently, with the falls of wickets at regular intervals and the slow run rate, led to the team scoring just 211 runs in their inning. And thus UAE lost the match by 138 runs.
