Nepal will lock horns with the United Arab Emirates in the final match of the Nepal Tri-Nation T20I Series at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on October 27. Nepal have been playing phenomenal cricket, winning all four league matches and finishing top of the table, while UAE won just one of their four, finishing in the second position.
Nepal had played off against UAE in their last match, where Nepal won the toss and elected to field. Being put to bat, they lost their first wicket in the first over itself, while the second wicket was followed by it in the third over, and they looked in trouble. However, a couple of decent partnerships and hammering towards the end by Basil Hameed took the team to 164 runs. Nepal lost three wickets early in the chase, but so has been the form of Nepal that they still remained confident. They had brilliant partnerships from there and easily won the game by five wickets.
UAE squared off against Hong Kong in their last encounter, where Hong Kong won the toss and elected to bat. They started well, with the pitch looking good to bat on. After losing the first wicket at 33, they had a sensational partnership worth 106 runs in just 11 overs. They kept smashing the bowlers all around the ground as they posted a mammoth total of 212 runs on the board. Chasing such a huge total down, UAE did not start well as they lost three wickets just at the score of 19. It was never an achievable total from there, and they lost the match by 69 runs.
