Preview

Norway will lock horns with Portugal in the 6th match of Group F of the European Cricket Championship at the Cartama Oval in Cartama on October 13. Norway have played and won both their matches so far and is sitting in the second position, while Portugal have won and lost a game each and are placed third.

Norway had played off against Luxembourg in their last match, where Norway won the toss and elected to bat. The decision to bat was proving out to be horrible, looking at the results after two overs, but Raza Iqbal stood his ground from the other end and slammed some beautiful-looking boundaries. He was helped by a good finishing touch by Javed, due to which they posted 139 runs on the board. Luxembourg did not start well, losing regular wickets upfront. Their lower middle order did score some runs, but it proved to be too little too late, as they lost by 21 runs.

Portugal had played off against Germany in their last encounter, where Germany won the toss and elected to bowl. Portugal had a very poor start, losing their entire top order at just a collective total of three runs. They had a brilliant partnership of 80 runs for the fourth wicket, which made them reach a good total of 105 runs. Germany started explosively but lost early wickets as well, but their middle order gave them the stability they needed, and they cruised to their target easily, winning the match by five wickets.
