Preview
New Zealand will finally begin their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign with a game against Afghanistan at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. After their crushing win over Uganda, the Kiwis will be well wary of the opponent's skill.
After a long wait, New Zealand (NZ) will get to experience the action of the T20 World Cup. In this edition, barring a couple of changes, the Kiwis come into the tournament with more or less the same team that played in the 2022 T20 World Cup. The Kiwis are a well-oiled unit both with the bat as well as with the ball.
Afghanistan (AFG) opened their tournament with a massive 125-run win over Uganda. Fazalhaq Farooqi bowled brilliantly to pick up a fifer, while Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran were the stars with the bat. The challenge for the Afghans will prove to be huge, as Kiwis are perhaps one of the most consistent sides in ICC tournaments.
